The Finishing Touch Closes with a Jack Harlow level crowd in Louisville

This morning as I approached The Finishing Touch for its final sale I was overwhelmed by the response of longtime customers and friends of the Saundra Cox. I knew we would have a nice turnout but I was never expecting a Jack Harlow level response with a line coming out the door, down Frankfort Avenue, and wrapping around the corner. I really hope local Louisville media will share the history and legacy of this local Louisville business. The Finishing Touch was Louisville's Original Cross Stitch Shop.

A note from the family of Saundra Cox

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of The Finishing Touch's owner, Saundra Cox.

To honor her role in the Louisville stitching community, we would like to invite her stitching family to the shop one last time.

We will hold a final Open House on Saturday, June 25 from 10-4.

All merchandise 50% off. All sales final.

We will also be offering some shop models and a few stitched pieces from Saundra's private collection for sale.

Thank you once again for supporting our family for 40+ years...

Many have asked about how they might honor the life of Saundra Cox. Her obituary included the following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Association or the American Alzheimers association.
