Thanksgiving Family Memories

Every year for Thanksgiving when I was a child, the Buckley's would jump into the blue bomber station wagon and go over to Grandma and Grandpa Fielder's house for dinner. Upon arrival, my brother and I would race down into the basement so we could play pool and go through Grandpa's workbench. The basement was dark, musty, and we loved it! It was never long before Grandma would call us upstairs for dinner. She always kept us on schedule. As soon as Grandpa finished praying, my brother and I would lunge for the sweet potatoes with huge marshmallows on top. Good times!

This year I'm grateful for family, especially grandparents. In the last two years my family has lost both my Grandma Fielder and most recently my Grandma Buckley. If I owned a jet I would visit my Grandpa Fielder every week. He's such a wise and gracious person. Every time I visit, I learn something new about his life and story.

May God bless you and your families on this Thanksgiving Day!
